Elementary Lesson

Guiding Questions:

• What gift did the mom give the boy in the video?
• Why didn’t he like the gift at first?
• Was the boy lucky to have his mom? Why?
• Who are the people in your life that are gifts?

Secondary Lesson

Guiding Questions:

• Have you ever felt like this boy? Maybe angry or disappointed?
• Do you have someone in your life that has been a gift to you? 
• What other challenges in your life have turned out to be gifts? What challenges highlighted a strength that you have?
